the lab.

The NEDIT editor for Linux - has syntax highlighting, parenthesis
and bracket matching, and is very easy to use. To use it from your
account:
Log in to one of the machines in the lab.
From the
command line, type: 'cp ~egomez/.nedit .' (coopies the configuration
file). To run the editor: type the command: '~egomez/bin/nedit &'
(runs the editor as a separate x window).
Once the editor is
running, you have a normal (windows-like) file menu to select and
edit files.
If you are running Linux at home, you can download
it as follows: first copy the nedit executable to your directory -
'cp ~egomez/bin/nedit .'. Then download both nedit and .nedit to your
home computer using scp.
